Malakoff, Texas, 2002. This traditional Irish cottage was brought from County Claire and rebuilt on a private estate in Texas. Note the very simple ridge design and three eyebrow windows. One of our favorite buildings here in the United States. Mountain cedar was used in the construction of the roof and the thatch was clipped to leave a clean, dust-free ceiling. From left to right, starting with the top row: 1) Finished roof 2) Work in progress 3) Interior view 4) Close up of eyebrow window.
